Project Manager (m/f/d)
Which tasks will you undertake? We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to coordinate and monitor complex projects that integrate our innovative technologies with those of our customers, particularly in the steel industry.
Your Tasks In this dynamic role, you are the driving force behind the entire project lifecycle – from quotation and planning to commissioning. You will lead both internal and external teams, manage the project scope, and ensure that our customers' needs are met while supporting our growth strategy. Leading interdisciplinary teams (internal and external, including EPC) in the development, planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning of projects. Development, management, and monitoring of project plans, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely delivery within the budget framework. Monitoring project finances in cooperation with the finance team, including tracking expenditures and evaluating cost development. Creation and regular presentation of project status reports to internal and external stakeholders. Conducting trend analyses and proactive risk management measures to validate forecasts and identify potential issues. Recording and applying Lessons Learned to improve future projects. Acting as the point of contact for customers, partners, and subcontractors throughout the entire project lifecycle. Ensuring effective communication within the team and with external parties, including risk management, tracking of actions, and documentation. Reviewing and managing technical specifications to ensure their accuracy and alignment with project objectives. Assembling and leading project teams, allocating resources, and ensuring compliance with project deadlines and budgets. Proactive identification and resolution of potentially overlooked aspects of the project.
What do you bring with you? A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering, Mechatronics, Thermodynamics, Process Engineering, or a related field. Professional experience in project management within the field of Mechanical Engineering and/or Plant Engineering, particularly in the steel, oil & gas, chemical, nuclear energy, or energy industries. Experience in the project execution of large-scale technical systems (e.g., sinter plants, coke plants, blast furnaces) with sound knowledge in the integration of thermal systems. Practical expertise in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources, as well as in project development and execution. Strong leadership and communication skills with a transparent, goal-oriented, and motivated way of working. A proactive, collaborative way of working with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience in using project management software, excellent organizational skills, and a detail-oriented approach. Fluent English skills; additional language skills are an advantage. Willingness to travel (up to 30%).
