At the Digital Excellence & Products Division (DXD) within the Ministry of Education (MOE),

we drive MOE's digital transformation by creating and delivering reliable, high-quality, and

impactful digital products and services. Spanning technology, data, and AI, our initiatives

enhance user experiences for students, educators, parents, school leaders, and MOE

officers. We design and maintain digital solutions that strengthen teaching and learning,

support data-driven decision-making, simplify work, and ultimately contribute to better

educational outcomes.

The Student Mission at DXD aims to empower every student to learn with confidence,

agency, and joy by creating digital products and services that foster holistic growth and

learning, both inside and outside the classroom. One of our core products is MOE’s online

learning platform, the Student Learning Space (SLS). Working closely with schools,

educators, students, and various MOE divisions, we ensure that digital teaching and learning

forms a cohesive experience that achieves intended education outcomes.About the role

Your tasks

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of one of the product

teams in teaching and learning. You will work directly with a product manager and

engineers as the designer on the team, taking work from discovery through to delivery.

Working with a Design Lead and designers on the other Student Mission teams, you will:

Drive the design of your product team, from understanding the problem to shipping

and iterating evidence Run research with students and teachers so that design decisions are based on

Keep your product team consistent with the rest of the student ecosystem

Lead design for your product team end to end, including discovery, flows, prototypes,

specifications, and iteration after launch Work with your PM and engineers to shape scope, make trade-offs, and ship

Plan and run research and usability testing, and combine the findings with

behavioural data Work with education technology and curriculum specialists so designs support how

students learn, including how content and UI work together

Use and contribute to shared patterns, and align with designers from other product

teams within the Student Mission, as well as with designers from other missions

Take part in critiques and support other designers through feedback

Requirements

What We Are Looking For At least 8 years in digital product design, with a portfolio showing complex products shipped

Strong interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skills, including evidence of

designing for accessibility and content-heavy interfaces Experience owning design for a product area and working closely with PMs and

engineers ●

Hands-on experience planning and running user research and usability testing●

Sound judgement in ambiguous situations, and the ability to explain your design

decisions clearly Attention to detail combined with an eye for consistency across products

Thoughtful, intentional use of AI tools in your design workflow

Nice to have · Experience designing for education or learning platforms · Experience doing research with children or young people Familiarity with the public sector or large-scale platforms
