Lead Electrical Engineer

For an international engineering and consultancy firm in the Aalst region, we are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer. The organization realizes complex technical projects within, among others, data centres and mission critical facilities, where the reliability and continuity of technical installations are central.

You will join a multidisciplinary and international engineering environment where various technical disciplines collaborate on challenging projects in Belgium and beyond.

Job Description As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will take technical leadership over the electrical engineering within complex data center projects. You will be involved from the initial concept to the further technical development and realization.

You will, among other things:

• Lead the electrical design from concept to detail engineering.
• Work around electrical infrastructure such as LV/MV/HV, UPS-systemen and redundancy concepts.
• Review designs, calculations, and technical choices of other engineers.
• Coordinate electrical engineering with other technical disciplines.
• Prepare technical specifications and analyses and provide support during tender processes.
• Act as the technical point of contact for colleagues, clients, and external parties.
• Collaborate with both Belgian and international engineering teams.

For this position, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who, in addition to their technical expertise, also enjoys taking on responsibility.

You possess:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Elektrotechniek, Elektromechanica or a similar technical field.
• Several years of relevant experience within Electrical Engineering and electrical design.
• Experience with complex electrical installations and distribution systems.
• The ability to guide technical projects and other engineers.
• A good professional knowledge of English.

Experience within data centres, mission critical facilities or other technically complex buildings is a strong asset. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
