Ironworker repair

We are not just any shipyard, but a full-service dock with both a dock and a slipway. Whether it is renovating old ships, performing complex repairs, or completely transforming existing vessels, we do it all. Do you want to ensure that the ships docking with us are back in service quickly and in top condition? We are looking for (experienced) ship metalworkers to strengthen our team!

What will you do? You are responsible for repairing ships, making various constructions on board, welding, cutting, and working with tools. You work in the dock, at the shipyard, and in the harbors. We handle a wide variety of ships, so no two weeks are the same. One week you might be working on a five-year maintenance service, the next week you and your colleagues are repairing a dent in a bow. We also take on large and complex projects. Take the ship Rotra Mare, for example: it came to our dock to be extended by eleven meters. First, we built a completely new section. To install it, we split the existing ship in two in our floating dock. After we towed the bow away, we placed the new section and adjusted it to the rear part of the ship. Subsequently, we lowered the dock again to reattach the bow. You can imagine how much metalwork is involved in a project like this! Together with your colleagues, you ensure that all tasks are successfully completed. You work practically and think in solutions to get the ship back into operation quickly and efficiently.

Who are we looking for? Ideally, you have experience as a metalworker in shipbuilding;

You don't mind working on weekends occasionally;
