For a historic Italian company, well-established in the territory, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager. The profile, placed within the Procurement office, will coordinate the Purchasing office team, collaborating with Planning and Logistics to manage and coordinate the purchasing activities of direct goods and general services, ensuring efficient and timely management. Main responsibilities: Coordination of the purchasing team to ensure correct management and monitoring of the order portfolio, ensuring compliance with delivery times and the quality standards required by the customer, in line with company objectives. Coordinate procurement activities between different company departments, promoting a Lean approach for the optimization of material flows and purchasing processes. Management of all purchasing activities for the Agrate production site (production of Donati components and KC overhead cranes) with the objective of “optimizing costs” by creating synergies with shared suppliers. Collaborate with Management and technical functions to ensure compliance with times, costs, and quality standards throughout the entire production process. Drafting and updating internal reporting, with particular attention to the monitoring and analysis of company KPIs. Identify and propose continuous improvement actions, supporting the decision-making process with analysis and data. Support the implementation and optimization of digital tools for the management of purchasing and logistics (ERP systems). Participate in weekly calls and group projects with international implications.
Required Skills and Characteristics:
Degree and/or Diploma preferably in technical-economic subjects; At least three years of experience gained in the function, preferably in the metalworking sector and/or machinery production; Good proficiency in using the Office package and the main ERP management software (knowledge of SAP is essential); Good knowledge of the English language; Strong analytical skills and orientation to KPIs, with experience in monitoring costs, stocks, and supply chain performance, availability to perform operational activities as well if necessary. Leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to interface effectively with production, logistics, technical office, and management. The ideal profile is completed by good analytical, management, and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a strong predisposition to teamwork and to resolving any critical situations with proactivity and initiative.
