Barista

About the Role We’re looking for a friendly and passionate Barista to join our team. You’ll be responsible for preparing quality coffee and beverages, keeping the café running smoothly, and creating a warm and welcoming experience for our guests. As part of the Front of House team, you’ll also support service operations when needed. Location: Holland Village Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve espresso-based coffee, teas, juices and other beverages to our standards Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders and other café equipment Ensure consistency in coffee quality, presentation and portioning Take orders and provide friendly, attentive service to guests Assist the service team during busy periods, including serving food and clearing tables Support the team with guest requests and general front-of-house duties Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas Restock coffee, beverages and other bar supplies as needed Assist with opening and closing duties Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards Work closely with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth daily operations Assist with other café duties as required Requirements Previous barista or café experience preferred Good knowledge of espresso preparation and basic coffee techniques Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good attention to detail and a positive attitude Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team Comfortable assisting with both bar and service duties Able to work weekends and public holidays when required What We’re Looking For Someone who takes pride in their coffee, enjoys working with people and is happy to jump in wherever the team needs support.
