The Role

Based in Singapore, you will drive the strategic development of Körber's businesses in Asia, with a mandate to significantly grow the region's share of Group revenue. You will shape both organic and inorganic growth, including expansion into sectors such as Food & Beverage and FMCG. Reporting to the EVP Group Strategy, M&A and Venture Capital, this is an individual contributor role with regular travel across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the strategy to grow Körber's business in Asia, organically and through acquisitions
  • Support the Technologies business, both in its current core business and in building new businesses globally
  • Lead strategy projects or sub-projects at corporate or business-area level, working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Manage and coordinate key elements of the Group-wide strategy process, including market and competitor analyses to identify and enable growth initiatives
  • Partner with the M&A team on:
  • Defining strategic search fields
  • Building long- and shortlists of targets based on strategic fit. Analysing business plans
  • Developing value creation and post-merger integration plans, including PMO support
  • Support Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) activities, including leading CVC projects
  • Prepare decision-making materials for the Executive Board
  • Build networks within the company and the industry, and collaborate with stakeholders in Singapore, across the region and at Group headquarters

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Natural Sciences with strong technical ability; an MBA or PhD and international experience are preferred
  • At least 6 years of experience at a top-tier management consultancy and/or in Corporate Strategy or Corporate Development within an international industrial group
  • Proven track record of delivering strategy projects in organic and inorganic growth and product portfolio expansion
  • B2B experience in manufacturing technologies, automation or process optimisation; knowledge of mechanical engineering and software is an advantage
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to senior audiences, including the Board
  • Structured and self-driven, able to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities while keeping the big picture in view
  • Excellent command of Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or another Asian language is required, as the role involves engaging directly with business units, customers, partners and acquisition targets across Asian markets
  • German is an advantage
