DBA PostgreSQL (100% Remote)

We are looking to hire a PostgreSQL DBA to join a technological team responsible for the administration, optimization, and evolution of critical data platforms. We are looking for professionals with experience in relational databases, cloud environments, and automation, capable of guaranteeing the performance, availability, and scalability of data solutions.

What will you do? Administration, implementation, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases and other relational databases.

Design and implementation of efficient, scalable data structures aligned with business needs.

Monitoring, analysis, and optimization of database performance, identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements.

Management of backups, restorations, replication, and high availability solutions to ensure service continuity.

Automation of administration and maintenance tasks through scripting (Python, Bash, or other technologies).

Collaboration with development teams in the design of data architectures and the optimization of SQL queries.

Support in tasks related to the development and deployment of microservices.

Management and administration of database environments on cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, procedures, and best practices.

Analysis and resolution of performance, availability, and capacity incidents.

Active participation in modernization, optimization, and evolution projects of the data platform.

What are we looking for? Experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments.

Solid knowledge in relational database administration, especially PostgreSQL, and valuable experience with MySQL.

Experience in data model design and SQL query optimization.

Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and high availability strategies.

Experience in monitoring and database performance analysis.

Knowledge of containers and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience or knowledge in cloud environments (AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform).

Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.

Minimum English level B2.

Schedule ⏰: 8.5 hours from Monday to Thursday and 6.5 on Fridays. Intensive schedule in mid-June, July, and August: 7 hours.
