Senior Software Engineer C/C++

For our client, a large Scandinavian telecommunications provider, we are looking for a person for the Senior Software Engineer position.

Project

The team creates high-performance software for the physical layer (PHY) in 5G NR systems. The work involves the implementation and optimization of signal processing algorithms and radio functionalities in a large environment based on the Linux system.

The role involves programming in C/C++, as well as in Python for the purposes of tools, testing, and automation. The codebase is extensive and very complex, which requires solid software engineering skills and the ability to understand and work with 3GPP specifications.

You will work in a modern development environment using Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins, with established CI/CD processes. Documentation and inter-team collaboration are an essential part of the work.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in a development role (preferably in telco, embedded areas).
• Very good programming skills in C/C++ (Multi-thread/Multi-core system, bitoperations, etc.).
• Ability to program in Python.
• Knowledge of telecommunications topics and 3GPP specifications.
• Experience working with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills independent of technology.
• English language proficiency at a communicative level in speaking and writing (min. B2).

Nice to have

• Ability to perform testing and automation in Python.
• Knowledge of CI/CD process operation specifications.
• Experience working with L1 (PHY) or L2 (MAC/RLC/PDCP) layers.
