What to Expect

• You control and monitor the configuration management for hardware and software of defined vehicle and weapon systems
• The strategic further development of configuration management for hardware and software is your responsibility
• You promote the company-wide cooperation of configuration managers and aim to expand this specifically
• Uniform standards and processes in configuration management are developed by you and implemented company-wide
• The administration, support, and maintenance of the configuration management systems and tools used (e.g., software error tracking tools) are also part of your area of responsibility
• Technical changes to hardware and software are created, evaluated, and tracked by you
• Additionally, you create and process technical documents such as configuration management plans, status reports, as-built plans, and performance descriptions
• You ensure the continuous maintenance and monitoring of configuration and change management for systems on different platforms
• Close, coordinated cooperation with internal interfaces (e.g., purchasing, development, service, manufacturing) is part of your daily work
• You plan, prepare, and moderate internal meetings (including PDR/CDR) and participate in external events
• As a central contact person, coordinator, and advisor, you represent configuration management to internal and external interfaces
• The harmonization of internal and external processes as well as the support and accompaniment of configuration audits also fall within your area of responsibility
• You actively participate in the creation of offers with performance descriptions and specifications in the maintenance area
• Required information on configuration statuses is prepared by you, and compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations is ensured
• Furthermore, you coordinate and monitor hardware and software errors of various vehicle and weapon systems
• The technical guidance and support of configuration employees (m/f/d) round off your area of responsibility

What You Bring

• You have a successfully completed degree in the field of mechanical engineering, information technology, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• You bring many years of professional experience in configuration or project management; a certification in configuration management is desirable
• A strong technical understanding as well as a high affinity for technology characterize you
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel, is required
• You communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken
• Very good SAP knowledge as well as sound experience in handling configuration management tools are part of your competence profile
• You are willing to travel domestically and abroad
• Military training or corresponding experience is an advantage
