This is what you will do

As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the design from system design to realization. KMWE is looking for a colleague to join the Engineering team and brings experience in developing High Tech mechatronic systems and modules with the objective of producing these modules in series at KMWE. In this position, you take the lead in a design team and, together with the Project Manager, act as the point of contact for the customer, suppliers, and production within KMWE.

Think of:

• You are responsible for drafting the system design and creating the technical design and concept drawings according to established specifications;
• You follow the design process of KMWE;
• You take care of setting up and preparing design reviews;
• You create a system design using Siemens NX;
• You are cost-conscious and design according to ISO 13485, NEN standards, and CE guidelines. Additionally, you take production capacity into account;
• You manage the design and development documentation in PDM (Teamcenter);
• You are responsible for drafting a test plan for the validation of the developed systems;
• You supervise and support production, assembly, and testing.

This is you

• You possess tool leadership and take ownership of the design;
• You have at least 5 years of experience in Engineering of relevant High Tech systems;
• You work in a structured manner and possess good communication skills;
• You are creative in solving problems with a strong sense of quality and safety for the product;
• You have a good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
