EMC System and Equipment Engineer (m/f/d) // AIRBUS

• Definition, analysis, and verification of EMC requirements at the system and equipment level for aircraft and ground systems
• Execution of EMC analyses, including shielding effectiveness, grounding concepts, cable routing, as well as EMI/EMC coupling mechanisms
• Provision of technical expertise and consulting for design teams on best practices for EMC and design according to EMC principles
• Discussion of detailed test requirements and validation of the associated test plans
• Active participation in EMC qualification tests such as conducted/radiated emissions and conducted/radiated susceptibility in accredited facilities, including test setup, execution, and data analysis for equipment
• Monitoring EMC-related activities of equipment suppliers, including the evaluation of reports from suppliers and test laboratories
• Evaluation of modifications at the equipment and aircraft level regarding EMC/EMI (incl. equipotential bonding)
• Creation of comprehensive documentation, including test reports, analysis reports, and compliance matrices
• Participation in design meetings, contributing to EMC/EMI aspects, and supporting release processes
• Support in the definition, execution, and evaluation of EMC/EMI test campaigns at the aircraft system level
• Troubleshooting and resolution of EMC/EMI problems identified during the design, development, and testing phases
• Completed Master's degree in the field of physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
• Sound knowledge of EMC fundamentals, theories, and standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, DO160) is mandatory
• Practical experience in handling EMC test equipment and facilities
• Knowledge in using EM simulation tools (e.g., FEKO, CST Studio Suite, ANSYS HFSS)
• Business fluent English skills
• German language skills are an advantage
• Sound analytical skills and problem-solving competence
• Excellent communication skills
