The position:

As part of the strengthening of our teams, we are looking for a Data Architect / Tech Lead Data Engineering (M/F) to guarantee technical excellence and the consistency of data processing within Data platforms.

The position combines technical expertise, architectural leadership, and strategic vision, with a strong objective of industrialization and optimization of Data platforms and projects.

Your missions

• Define and enforce Data Engineering technical standards: architectures, patterns, best practices, and technological choices for batch and streaming pipelines.
• Validate the design choices of the teams to guarantee scalability, performance, security, and interoperability of solutions.
• Drive the industrialization and optimization of Data processing, by identifying performance, latency, memory, or Cloud cost issues.
• Support teams in resolving technical issues and in increasing skills on methods, tools, and design patterns.
• Guarantee the consideration of governance, compliance, GDPR, and data sovereignty issues, notably through audits of existing projects.
• Contribute to the technological evolution strategy of the Data/IA platform and lead Proofs of Concept (PoC) on new approaches and technologies.

Profile sought:

You are a senior profile in Data Engineering / Data Architecture, with a strong ability to define technical standards and support teams.

• You master Data Engineering architectures and patterns, notably on batch and/or streaming processing.
• You have expertise in technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake.
• You master the issues of performance and optimization of Data processing: latency, memory, partitioning, caching, Cloud costs.
• You have concrete experience in the definition and implementation of technical standards, guidelines, templates, and architecture or code reviews.
• You are able to challenge the technical choices of the teams and support them in their implementation.
• You have a good understanding of governance, security, GDPR, classification, and data sovereignty issues.
• You are comfortable in an international context and have professional and technical English.
