Food Processing Equipment & Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Food Processing Equipment & Maintenance Technician to support the operation, servicing and maintenance of food processing equipment and facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, equipment servicing and operational support, together with driving and logistics duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, inspect and maintain food processing and packaging equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and routine servicing of machinery.
- Attend to basic mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot pumps, motors, conveyors, heating systems and other processing equipment.
- Conduct routine inspection of equipment and identify abnormal operation.
- Maintain maintenance records, servicing schedules and equipment checklists.
- Coordinate with external contractors or equipment suppliers for major repairs.
- Assist with installation, modification and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain workshop tools, spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Monitor and maintain general production-area facilities, including plumbing and basic building services.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained in a manner suitable for a food processing environment.
- Drive company vehicles for collection of spare parts, equipment, materials and other operational requirements.
- Assist production and warehouse teams when required.
Job Requirements
- Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence ; Class 4 licence will be an advantage.
- Valid Food Safety Course Level 1 / Food Handler certificate .
- Able to speak and write Tamil .
- Previous experience in food processing, egg processing, manufacturing or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Mechanical, electrical, CNC, HVAC, pump or machinery maintenance experience is preferred.
- Able to perform preventive maintenance and basic breakdown troubleshooting.
- Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is an advantage.
- Safety-conscious and able to work independently.
- Willing to perform hands-on maintenance and operational duties.
- Basic English communication required for workplace coordination.
Additional Advantage
- Experience servicing food processing machinery.
- Experience with pumps, motors, conveyors, heating equipment or refrigeration/HVAC systems.
- Experience maintaining production equipment and spare-parts inventory.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or egg-processing facility.
