Calibration Associate Engineer (Technician)

Job Description:

  • Execute daily routine calibration and repair work orders as assigned.
  • Be vigilant on safety to ensure jobs are done in a safe manner while maintaining a high level of GMP compliance.
  • Ensure all calibration work is duly carried out as scheduled and in compliance with Engineering standards and calibration procedures.
  • Respond to urgent/additional calibration or service breakdown work, including overtime, to support ongoing operations.
  • Troubleshoot instrument breakdowns and carry out repairs on production systems, or report issues to the Engineer/Manager.
  • Work with contractors, vendors and service providers on calibration activities to ensure instruments are maintained in full operational status.
  • Perform routine tasks and demonstrate the ability to recognize deviations from accepted practices.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized calibration work.
  • Promptly inform the Engineer/Manager of any incidents or events, irrespective of their nature or severity.
  • Perform work order documentation in SAP and maintain calibration data in CMX.
  • Keep all work areas clean, safe and well organized.
  • Communicate with the Engineer/Manager when encountering non-compliance issues, including work delays, breakdowns, missing parts or other operational concerns.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager, including but not limited to the above.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a GMP environment, with hands-on experience performing calibration activities on various instruments.
  • Knowledge of the working principles of measuring instruments and relevant calibration parameters.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and CMX is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Good understanding of safety and GMP requirements.
