What You’ll Be Doing

As a Room Leader , you’ll lead your room team by example, creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children receive exceptional care and education. You’ll support your colleagues to develop their skills while ensuring the highest standards of practice are maintained every day.

You will:

Lead and inspire your room team to deliver outstanding Early Years care and education.

Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Model best practice in line with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements and Kindred’s values.

Support, coach and develop Early Years Practitioners and Apprentices within your room.

Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Plan and oversee engaging learning experiences that support every child’s development.

Maintain accurate observations, assessments and children’s records.

Support inductions and help new colleagues settle into the Kindred family.

Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies are followed at all times.

Work closely with the Nursery Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement across the nursery.

Demonstrate Kindred’s values in everything you do.

What You’ll Need

Essential

A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).

Experience working within an Early Years setting.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and education.

The ability to motivate, support and develop others.

Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.

Desirable

Previous experience leading a room or small team.

Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Safeguarding and Child Protection training (full training will be provided).

Food Hygiene Certificate.
