What You’ll Be Doing

As a Bank Nursery Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our nursery teams whenever additional cover is needed. You’ll help create a warm, safe and nurturing environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive.

You will: Work as part of the nursery team to create a welcoming, home-from-home environment for every child.

Supervise and care for children at all times, ensuring appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained.

Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Model best practice and work in accordance with nursery policies and regulatory requirements.

Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Support the daily running of the nursery, adapting to different rooms and age groups as required.

Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.

What You’ll Need

Essential:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

A commitment to delivering outstanding care and customer service

Good time management and the ability to work flexibly

A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development

Desirable;

Previous experience working in an Early Years setting

A full and relevant Early Years qualification

Paediatric First Aid Certificate

Food Hygiene Certificate
