CNC Turning Machinist/Setter

Key Responsibilities Set-Up: Prepare and set up CNC lathe machines, install chucks, tool blocks, and tooling, and establish zero and reference points. Operation: Load raw materials, run test pieces, and manage full production cycles for turning, boring, facing, and threading operations. Programming & Adjustments: Read blueprints, interpret mechanical drawings, and make basic program or tool offset adjustments (wear and geometry) to maintain tolerances. Quality Control: Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily preventative maintenance, keep the work area clean, and adhere to workplace safety standards Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC lathe/turning machines Education: Vocational certification, or equivalent mechanical background
