Plant Controller (m/f/d) (Controller)

For our production site in Mittenwalde (approx. 10km south of Berlin), a plant undergoing transformation into a production service provider within a multinational group, we are looking for a Plant Controller (m/f/d) to help shape this transformation. In this newly created position, you will help build the controlling function from the ground up – always acting as the link between plant management and group controlling.

Your Tasks

• You will set up plant controlling at the location and actively drive its further development in the course of the ongoing transformation.
• As a sparring partner to plant management, you will provide the necessary information for sound, data-based decisions, ranging from investment and make-or-buy analyses to strategic site decisions.
• You are responsible for the monthly cost center accounting (BAB), profit center management, and meaningful variance analyses, and you will derive concrete measures for performance optimization from them.
• You will continuously develop modern control instruments and reportings in Power BI and establish a plant cockpit that makes the transformation of the site transparent and measurable.
• You will accompany budget, forecast, and month-end closing processes and ensure the high quality of financial management information.
• You will institutionalize the interface between the plant and central controlling and act as a competent business partner to the group controlling.

Your Profile

• Degree in business administration or commercial training with corresponding further education.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in plant or production controlling, ideally in an international industrial environment.
• Sound knowledge of cost accounting, calculation, BAB, and variance analyses.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision (or comparable ERP systems) as well as proficient use of Power BI and Excel.
• Technical understanding of production processes and the ability to evaluate them from a business perspective.
• Agile, solution-oriented way of working with enjoyment of change and project work – you see yourself as a critical sparring partner to plant management.
• Good English skills for collaboration in an international group environment.
