Job Summary

KYEI is seeking a reliable, responsible, and experienced Part-Time Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation support for staff, organizational activities, meetings, field visits, and other official assignments.

The ideal candidate should be punctual, safety-conscious, trustworthy, and familiar with major routes within Abuja. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that the assigned vehicle is properly maintained and kept in good working condition.

This role requires someone who is professional, dependable, careful, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe and reliable transportation for staff and authorized personnel during official assignments. Drive staff to meetings, field visits, project activities, appointments, and other organizational engagements as assigned. Ensure timely arrival at designated locations and demonstrate good time management. Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and organizational driving procedures. Conduct routine checks on the assigned vehicle and promptly report any mechanical faults, damage, or maintenance needs. Maintain the vehicle in a clean, neat, and presentable condition at all times. Assist with the transportation of official documents, materials, equipment, and supplies when required. Plan routes appropriately and consider traffic conditions to ensure efficient and timely movement. Maintain accurate records of official trips, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant vehicle information when required. Ensure that relevant vehicle documents are valid and properly maintained. Report accidents, incidents, vehicle damage, or other concerns involving the vehicle immediately. Maintain confidentiality regarding organizational activities and information encountered while performing official duties. Work professionally with staff, partners, beneficiaries, and other individuals encountered during official assignments. Carry out other driving and transportation-related duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification. Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence. Minimum of 2 years’ professional driving experience. Previous experience working with an organization, company, NGO, or professional environment is an added advantage. Good knowledge of Abuja roads and major routes. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify common vehicle faults.

Work Schedule

The successful candidate will work three (3) days per week based on the organization's designated work schedule and transportation needs.
