We are looking for a Head of Department (m/f/d) in the Filling Technology area for the Project Execution department at our Bad Kreuznach location, effective immediately.

Location: Bad Kreuznach / Rheinland-Pfalz

Your tasks:

• Management of the Project Execution department (incl. budget planning, control, and steering)
• Leadership, development, and coaching of employees
• Responsibility for the success of project execution (deadlines, costs, and quality) in the Filling Technology product center
• Establishment and improvement of suitable methods and processes for efficient quotation preparation, technical clarification, risk assessment, and project execution
• Determination and fixation of project-related key dates as well as capacity planning with the specialist departments
• Cross-departmental mediation in escalating cases and initiation of effective measures
• Main contact person and liaison to other departments as well as foreign subsidiaries
• Participation in cost variance analyses and derivation of effective measures
• Coordination and cooperation with the project planner
• Development, implementation, and communication of the portfolio strategy and adjustments in the quotation system
• Prioritization of tasks (e.g., quotation inquiries, customer appointments, implementation of quotation models in the digital quotation system)
• Contact with foreign subsidiaries (engineering inquiries) and participation in the development of processes for handling these inquiries
• Participation in portfolio optimization

Your requirements:

• Technical training, preferably a completed degree in the field of engineering or business sciences
• Knowledge of the machine portfolio of the Filling Technology product center
• Sound knowledge of project management methods
• Practical experience in project management/as a project manager for projects in mechanical and plant engineering (preferably in the food/beverage industry) is desirable
• User knowledge in SAP and MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project)
• Business fluent English
• Goal-oriented and structured way of working
• Teamwork skills, assertiveness, and a confident appearance
• Willingness to undertake regular worldwide business trips and stays abroad
