Project Management Intern
The Opportunity: Build a Trading Platform from 0 to 1
Want to see what it actually takes to build and launch a digital trading platform from 0 to 1? We are looking for a proactive and motivated Project Management Intern to join the team behind our new digital trading platform.
This isn’t an internship where you’ll just take meeting minutes or update spreadsheets. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, internal teams, and external vendors to help bring a real product to market, with exposure to areas including fintech, onboarding, payments, trading, User Acceptance Testing(UAT), and vendor management.
The Role: What You’ll Do
- Vendor Coordination: Support the Project Manager in coordinating with vendors, tracking deliverables, timelines, and outstanding action items.
- Project Support: Help keep projects on track by following up on action items, dependencies, and issues. Coordinate across multiple teams to support project delivery.
- UAT Support: Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including testing platform features, documenting findings, and coordinating with vendors on issue resolution.
- User Experience Support: Review product features from an end-user perspective and provide feedback on usability and customer experience.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research on fintech, payments, trading platforms, and technology solutions to support project and business requirements.
- Project Administration: Help maintain project plans, trackers, meeting notes, and status updates.
- Problem Solving: Support the team in addressing challenges and resolving issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle.
Who You Are
You do not need prior experience in trading or technology. We are more interested in your willingness to learn, problem-solving approach, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Effective Communicator: Able to communicate clearly and ask relevant questions when clarification is needed.
- Proactive and Responsible: Able to take initiative, follow through on assigned tasks, and work independently when appropriate.
- Collaborative: Comfortable working with different stakeholders and following up on project-related matters.
- Detail-Oriented: Organised and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Resourceful: Able to research information and identify practical solutions when faced with unfamiliar situations.
- Adaptable: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may evolve.
- The Essentials:
- Pursuing or has completed studies in Information Systems, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Interest in fintech, technology, financial markets, or project management
- Prior exposure to project management, business analysis, testing, or vendor management would be advantageous, but is not required.
Why KGI?
- The Full Journey: Gain hands-on experience on a live fintech project and see how a trading platform progresses from idea to development, testing, and launch.
- Broad Exposure: Develop practical experience in project management, vendor management, product development, UAT, KYC onboarding, payments, trading technology, and stakeholder management.
- Real-World Experience: Gain insight into how decisions are made and challenges are addressed when building and launching a financial technology product.
- Learning Opportunities: Work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to cross-functional teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.
