Senior Global Product Manager Color
DRIVING TOWARDS THE FUTURE OF KEUNE COLOR
Professional hair coloring is at the heart of KEUNE. It is where creativity, craftsmanship, and science converge. In the coming years, significant innovations in our Color portfolio are planned. Therefore, we are looking for someone to advance the category: from sharp strategic choices to products that hairdressers love to work with.
As Senior Global Product Manager Color, you are responsible for the strategy, innovation planning, and results of our global professional Color portfolio. You know what is happening in salons and in the market. You translate that knowledge into clear choices, relevant innovations, and commercial growth.
You guide projects from initial insight and business case to development, professional testing, launch, and evaluation. In doing so, you work closely with specialists within KEUNE and with our international markets. In this independent senior role, you report directly to the Global Head of Product.
The position is based at our headquarters in Soest. International candidates are welcome; for the right person, we are happy to discuss possibilities for relocation support.
MISSION
You determine the strategy and innovation planning for our professional Color portfolio.
You recognize opportunities in salon needs, consumer trends, technology, and market developments and turn them into concrete plans.
You build a strong portfolio: from permanent, semi-, and demi-permanent coloring to bleaching products, direct color pigments, developers, and professional services.
You lead innovation projects from concept and business case to launch and evaluation.
You work with R&D and Education on formulas, shades, and performance, and translate technical results into benefits that are relevant to hairdressers.
You use sales results and market insights to set priorities and improve the portfolio.
You compare KEUNE with competitors on, among other things, performance, color systems, claims, salon services, and price.
You work with Brand, Creative, and Education on positioning, packaging, color charts, swatch books, and launch materials.
You involve our international markets in important choices, keeping an eye on local opportunities and needs.
You bring structure to complex projects, ensure decisions are made, and keep people and deadlines moving. If you see a risk, you come up with a well-thought-out solution.
YOU
You know the world of professional hair coloring well and know how to bring people from different disciplines together to make an idea a reality. You combine a sense for the craft with commercial insight and get energy from projects where substance, creativity, and execution come together. Your background may lie in product management, education, technical marketing, innovation, R&D, category management, or the salon industry. A specific job title or a fixed number of years of product management experience is not a requirement for us. What we do find important:
- You understand products, color systems, salon services, and the needs of hairdressers.
- You have experience leading complex projects, from initial idea to execution.
- You set priorities, create overview, and consistently follow up on agreements.
- You can translate market insights and results into clear commercial choices.
- You work easily with technical, creative, and commercial specialists.
- You dare to discuss ideas constructively and are also open to contradiction.
- You communicate persuasively, present strongly, and command English professionally.
- You can travel when the work requires it.
Have you been a hairdresser, colorist, or educator? Then we greatly appreciate that practical experience. Even with a different background, we would love to hear from you if you know the professional hair color market well and see yourself in this role.
