Platform Integration Engineer (Workato)

Introduction

Our client, an organization in Singapore’s education sector, is hiring an Integration Engineer to join as the Workato integration subject matter expert to play a hands-on role in defining workflow integration solution designs and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

You will serve as a Workato integration specialist designing, developing, testing, and deploying integrations across SaaS applications, internal systems, and APIs. Working closely with business stakeholders and engineers, you will translate requirements into scalable integration solutions, build and manage Workato recipes and connectors, and establish appropriate error handling, monitoring, and alerting. You will take ownership across both new development and production support, while contributing to integration architecture, technical documentation, platform governance, recipe lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

You should have a relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, and at least 3 years of hands-on experience delivering integrations on the Workato platform, with practical experience taking solutions from design and development through production support. Strong knowledge of integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, data mapping and transformation, and authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, API keys, and Microsoft Entra is important. Experience with relational databases, cloud environments, enterprise SaaS platforms, and scripting using JavaScript, Ruby, Python, or similar languages is also relevant. Workato certification is preferred. Exposure to GCP, Google Workspace, AI/LLM integrations, UiPath, Kafka, EventBridge, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, or other enterprise integration technologies would be advantageous.
