As a Conductor at Keolis Nederland, no two days are the same. You will get a job where you are always on the move, have a lot of freedom, and carry responsibility. Due to the varying working hours and the different passengers you provide with a pleasant journey, you are literally always in motion.

For our RRReis trains on the railway line from Amersfoort Centraal to Ede/Wageningen, we are looking for conductors. Also referred to as a Host or Hostess. In this position, you are 'the manager' of the passenger area of the train. It is your task to ensure that passengers arrive at their destination feeling safe and comfortable. You do this, for example, by answering questions, offering a helping hand, or providing explanations about passenger rights. Additionally, you ensure that the train looks tidy and inform passengers in case of disruptions. Finally, as a Conductor, you also check whether everyone has a valid travel document.

All our Conductors/Hosts or Hostesses are BOA trained in Domain IV Openbaar Vervoer . This means that you have BOA authority on a verbal level and not with the authority to use force. In fact, we believe it is important that you act in a de-escalating manner in problematic situations. We are going to teach you this! Naturally, we find your safety and that of our passengers extremely important. Therefore, you will have assistance and communication tools at your disposal, so that you can call upon the emergency services should this be necessary.

If you are already in possession of a valid BOA-Getuigschrift, you only need to obtain the OV module to be allowed to work in public transport as a BOA, or if you do not yet possess the BOA-OV getuigschrift? No problem, we will provide you with paid training.

The training to become a Conductor

When you start employment as a Conductor/Host or Hostess, you will follow various professional training programs and courses.

• The most important training is the BOA-OV Basisopleiding, in which you learn all the laws and regulations that are important for the execution of this position. This training lasts approximately 12 weeks, during which you follow the training 1 day a week and can work normally the rest of the week.
• After passing your BOA-OV Basisopleiding, or after passing the BOA OV module if you already have a BOA getuigschrift without the OV module, the BOA Akte will be requested from the judiciary to officially swear you in as a BOA .
• Additionally, you will receive various trainings, such as training in de-escalating behavior and training in life-saving actions, so that you also know how to act in difficult situations.

Where will you be working?

Keolis Nederland provides public transport in Almere, the Province of Utrecht, and on the train routes Zwolle to Enschede, Zwolle to Kampen, and Amersfoort to Ede-Wageningen. We do this with approximately 1500 employees, 450 buses, and 25 trains. Annually, we transport approximately 53 million passengers (2022). Our customers are our guests. What does your team as a conductor look like?

Under the name RRReis, Keolis Nederland manages the train routes Amersfoort Centraal - Ede/Wageningen, for which we are looking for Conductors. You will work in a motivated and involved team of about 30 to 40 drivers and conductors. Together, you ensure that passengers experience 5-star service. Your base of operations is Amersfoort Centraal.

Furthermore, we find it important that as a Conductor you:

• Have at least MBO-3 work and thinking level. This is important for obtaining the BOA training;
• Have a valid VOG-P. This is a must
• Have a B-driver's license. This is a must
• Are customer-oriented and enjoy providing service;
• Are communicatively skilled and socially skilled;
• Are stress-resistant and radiate calmness;
• Can handle criticism and are verbally strong;
• Have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, so that you can always assist passengers.

It is good to take into account that we conduct a background check during the application procedure by requesting a VOG-P.

As a Conductor, you can expect the following employment conditions:

• Employment conditions based on very good CAO OV;
• A good salary matching your experience based on scale 4 in the introductory period until you are fully BOA authorized;
• After your swearing-in, you will receive a good salary in scale 5: €2,837 - €4,010 gross based on full time;
• An annual contract for 32 - 40 hours per week, where you work Monday through Sunday (in consultation) in varying shifts (working hours to be determined);
