Store Keeper

Responsibilities:

Receive and inspect incoming homeware and kitchenware products against invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders. Verify product quantities, specifications, conditions, and packaging before accepting deliveries. Properly arrange and store items such as cookware, utensils, plates, cups, cutlery, storage containers, appliances, and other household products. Maintain accurate records of stock received, issued, transferred, returned, and damaged. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when products are running low or require replenishment. Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile quantities with inventory records. Identify and report damaged, defective, expired, missing, or slow-moving items. Ensure products are properly labelled, organized, and easy to locate within the store or warehouse. Issue products to the sales team or customers based on approved sales orders and requests. Prepare items for customer orders, deliveries, transfers, and dispatch. Assist with loading and unloading merchandise while ensuring products are handled carefully. Maintain proper storage conditions to prevent breakage, damage, or deterioration of products. Monitor stock movement and help prevent theft, unauthorized withdrawals, and inventory losses. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom and warehouse environment. Update inventory records using spreadsheets, POS systems, or inventory management software. Assist with returns, exchanges, and restocking of products. Prepare regular stock and inventory reports for management. Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and delivery teams to ensure efficient stock availability and movement. Follow company procedures for inventory control, safety, and store operations.

Requirements:

Minimum of SSCE/OND in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. Proven years of experience as a Storekeeper, Inventory Officer, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role. Previous experience in retail, homeware, kitchenware, household goods, or consumer products is an advantage. Good knowledge of stock management and inventory control procedures. Ability to accurately count, record, and reconcile stock. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and inventory/POS systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to identify product damage, discrepancies, and stock shortages. Good communication and teamwork skills. Honest, reliable, and capable of handling company inventory responsibly. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and meet deadlines. Physically capable of lifting and moving stock when required.
