Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices in line with company objectives and applicable labour regulations. Manage the full recruitment and selection process for drivers, dispatch riders, warehouse staff, operations personnel, and corporate employees. Develop job descriptions, advertise vacancies, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate onboarding. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation. Manage employee onboarding, orientation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exits. Monitor employee attendance, leave, punctuality, and workforce schedules. Develop and implement performance management systems, including appraisals, KPIs, and performance improvement plans. Handle employee relations matters, grievances, disciplinary issues, and workplace conflicts professionally. Ensure compliance with Nigerian employment laws, company policies, and workplace regulations. Support payroll preparation by providing accurate attendance information, leave, deductions, allowances, and employee changes. Develop employee training and development programs based on organizational and operational needs. Work with management to identify staffing requirements and develop workforce plans. Monitor employee engagement, retention, welfare, and workplace culture. Develop HR reports and provide management with insights on staffing, turnover, absenteeism, performance, and other workforce matters. Maintain confidential personnel records and ensure proper handling of sensitive employee information. Coordinate staff welfare initiatives and employee engagement activities. Support health, safety, and welfare initiatives, particularly for drivers, warehouse staff, and field employees. Assist management with organizational restructuring, manpower planning, and policy implementation. Ensure proper documentation and compliance for drivers and operational staff where applicable. Conduct regular reviews of HR processes and recommend improvements. Lead and supervise the HR team where applicable. Perform other HR and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field. Proven years of progressive HR experience. Previous experience in a logistics, transportation, haulage, warehousing, supply chain, or fleet-based organization is highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll support, and HR administration. Good understanding of Nigerian labour laws and employment practices. Experience managing a diverse workforce, including drivers, dispatch personnel, warehouse staff, and office employees. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and manage multiple priorities. CIPM, SHRM, or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
