Regional Manager
THE OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Regional Manager position is to act as a link between the KellyDeli head office, retail partners, and our points of sale. This position is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of points of sale to ensure operational excellence throughout their network.
Reporting to the Head of Regional Managers, you will have objectives to drive like-for-like sales and build strong, consistent relationships with both franchise partners and the retail stores in which we operate.
Using internal tools and resources, you must demonstrate a strong business sense to analyze statistics and figures, identify weak areas, and detect growth and improvement opportunities within your assigned region.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Department – Regional Management. Reports to – Head of Regional Management. Direct reports – None unless otherwise indicated. Interlocutors (external and internal) – Franchise partners, retail partners, Head of RM, Country Manager, Quality, Marketing, Finance, Partnerships, Own Kiosks.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
80% of the time will be spent in the field supporting points of sale; travel by car, train, and plane may be required at any time. Depending on the geography of your region, you may spend one or two nights a week away from home.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Ensure the performance of individual points of sale in your region.
- Train and support your franchise partners to operate as cost-efficiently as possible and maximize their business profitability.
- Implement company policy, quality standards, group marketing initiatives, and regulatory and legal procedures in your region.
- Ensure information is communicated clearly between the KellyDeli head office and the points of sale; make sense of objectives and plan commercial/marketing/quality actions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is key and at the center of point of sale actions.
- Be the key contact for the retailer at local and regional levels.
- Responsible for the renewal of the existing contract with the retailer.
- Be a source of information on new retail concepts, industry developments, and competitors.
Driving Performance Drive sales revenue through detailed management of all kiosk KPIs, including:
- L4L performance metrics – total revenue.
- Assortment/variety analysis and implementation of the correct product mix.
- Waste management to maximize product availability.
- Monitoring the availability of the 20 bestsellers.
- Average transaction value.
- Marketing campaign participation results >90%.
- Check product quality (visual appearance and weight).
- Verify compliance with recipes (weight) to control COGS.
- Ensure tastings are carried out twice a day.
- Control basic hygiene standards during visits.
- Verify that all partner staff use uniforms, gloves, and masks.
- Ensure partners use production management techniques to increase overall kiosk revenue through the analysis of peak hours and demand by product.
- Establish proactive sales activities in all kiosks in the region: 2 tastings per day and high levels of customer interaction at all times.
- Help create and implement commercial training programs to motivate partners to increase sales through proven techniques, individually or in teams.
- Organize internal sales contests to increase partner engagement with measurement and sales activities.
- Ensure all franchise partners have completed sales, customer experience, and tasting training on the e-learning platform.
Retail Relationship Management General business updates with retailer management to define (global vision, sales, marketing, quality, NPD, company initiatives, kiosk action plan, and retailer issues).
- Conduct one or two business reviews per retailer per year. Be the Sushi Daily brand representative at a local level with the retailer, communicating important updates, performance successes, marketing plans, etc.
- Work closely with retailers to ensure and protect brand consistency at all levels.
Franchise Partner Relationship Management
- Ensure visits to each franchise partner once a month.
- Record each visit in GEMBA.
- Gain the trust of our franchisees and do everything possible to ensure their job satisfaction.
- Dedicate time during visits to train franchise partners on how to optimize their business and help them create action plans that impact performance.
- Conduct a business review with franchise partners twice a year and a follow-up action plan.
- Ensure compliance with the global contract at a local level.
- Meaningful introductions of new partners to retailer management so that relationships start on the right foot.
- Complete a thorough approval process for new franchise partners in the region to ensure they are ready for success.
- Ensure that training on store regulations has been successfully completed.
- Participate in the creation of clear and defined documentation on kiosk processes and operations to ensure smooth transitions during kiosk handovers to new partners.
- Work with KellyDeli to implement actions derived from Partner Survey Action Plans and CEO listening sessions with partners.
Brand Excellence
- Conduct monthly store visits to franchise partners.
- Monthly product quality checks during each visit to franchise partners: Food, Packaging.
- Train partners on corrective actions when quality has declined and ensure they understand the reasons.
- Verify that marketing campaigns are correctly deployed in the region's kiosks to achieve a 90% participation rate.
- Ensure that the company's global performance standards are followed and implemented.
- Ensure that franchise partners have completed the Compliance, product, and standards e-learning modules.
WHO ARE YOU?
Previous experience in a similar Regional Manager / Area Manager role and experience in the Food and Beverage or Food Retail industry will be a great advantage.
Experience in multi-site management, ideally in the catering and/or franchise world.
Highly motivated and self-driven; a team player capable of building excellent relationships with colleagues and customers, and comfortable working alone in the field when necessary.
You like challenges; you are results and business-oriented, and you like working with numbers.
Excellent ability to analyze situations; you identify problems and propose concrete solutions (process redesign, action plans, training...).
Highly organized person, rigorous in the implementation of internal procedures and the monitoring of regulatory obligations.
Positive by nature; your network and excellent communication allow you to be a true ambassador for your region.
You know how to work in multicultural environments.
Committed, capable of persuading and making decisions, and with a supportive spirit.
