Payroll Functional Specialist – SAP SuccessFactors
Salary: $64,000 gross monthly. Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Modality: Hybrid. Location: Guadalupe, Nuevo León. Project duration: 6 months.
Main functions:
- Act as a payroll functional expert and liaison between the Human Resources, Payroll, IT areas, and the SAP SuccessFactors implementer.
- Understand payroll processes, rules, incidents, and concepts to translate them into functional requirements that facilitate system configuration.
- Accompany the SAP implementer, explaining how the organization's payroll processes must operate and be reflected in the system.
- Participate in the transition from the current system to SAP SuccessFactors.
- Support the gathering, analysis, and standardization of payroll concepts and incidents.
- Validate that functional requirements have been correctly understood and reflected in the configuration performed by the implementer.
- Participate in functional testing, payroll scenarios, validation of results, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify differences between current operations and the proposed configuration, documenting deviations and adjustment needs.
- Support the review and documentation of payroll processes, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that the transition correctly contemplates concepts related to payroll, IMSS, INFONAVIT, taxes, incidents, settlements, and liquidations.
- Follow up on the functional development and progress of the project in coordination with the involved areas.
The position will not be responsible for performing the technical implementation or the direct configuration of SAP; these activities will be handled by a specialized implementer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processes; ideally between 4 and 5 years.
- Solid experience in payroll calculation, administration, and concepts.
- Experience participating in at least one transition, migration, or implementation of a payroll system toward SAP SuccessFactors.
- Solid and practical knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors applied to payroll processes.
- Ability to understand the functional language and logic of SAP and communicate effectively with consultants and implementers.
- Ability to translate concepts, business rules, and payroll incidents into functional requirements for system configuration.
- Knowledge of IMSS, INFONAVIT, taxes, settlements, liquidations, and applicable labor legislation.
- Experience in process gathering, documentation, functional testing, validation of results, and incident follow-up.
- Analytical, communication, organization, follow-up, problem-solving, and inter-departmental coordination skills.
- Intermediate English.
