Overview
A friendly, modern and people-focused law firm in Luton is seeking a part-time Legal Receptionist to join their team. This is a key front-of-house role supporting clients, solicitors and the wider office with reception and administrative duties. Key Responsibilities
- Answering and directing incoming calls
- Taking accurate messages and passing them to fee-earners promptly
- Scanning incoming post and distributing to the correct departments
- Assisting with file closures and general file administration
- Meeting and greeting clients in a professional, friendly manner
- Preparing refreshments for clients and visitors
- Maintaining a clean, organised and presentable reception area
- Handling incoming/outgoing post and deliveries
- Light typing duties when required (letters, attendance notes, simple documents)
- Supporting fee-earners with general administrative tasks
- Booking appointments and managing the reception diary
- Providing proactive support to the wider team during quieter periods
What You'll Need
- Previous reception or front-of-house experience (legal or professional services preferred)
- An understanding of legal terminology and processes
- Strong communication and client-care skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work proactively
- Professional, friendly and reliable approach
