Instrument Supervisor

Responsibilities:

To lead, supervise, and coordinate activities of maintenance technicians’ team and focus on compliance with the preventive maintenance plan and an efficient and effective development of breakdown maintenance on instrument systems, equipment, and facilities within his area of influence, applying the best and safe maintenance practices.

The execution of monthly and weekly maintenance plans, control and submit progress reports on a regular basis.

Provide onsite maintenance and repairs on all types of instruments (such as generators, transformers, and motors). Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendations, and contract terms.

To lead, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of instrument maintenance activities developed by technicians on all instrument systems, plant, equipment, and facilities within the designated area of responsibility. He is the focal point for daily instrument maintenance execution plans.

Conduct frequent site visits to ensure proper execution of work and check on the activities of technicians engaged in routine maintenance activities.

Follow up on instrument maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports to the instrument foreman with recommendations. Keep a record of daily maintenance work against planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports, where applicable.

Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to instrument equipment by making recommendations to increase the suitability and serviceability of instrument systems.

Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems.

Strong knowledge of standards, procedures, and regulations to develop activities taking care of health, safety, and environmental preservation.

Strong communication and people skills.

Good command of oral and written English.

Qualifications:

Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in oil & gas maintenance – diploma/bachelors.

Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of oil & gas facilities.

Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.

Proven leadership skills with large organizations.

Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.

Strategic management skills.

An ability to achieve business results working in a multi-cultural environment.
