Import Export Officer
- Handle day-to-day import and export operations in compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Prepare, review, and process import/export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading (B/L), air waybills (AWB), certificates of origin (COO), and required permits or licenses.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers,and relevant government authorities.
- Verify HS codes, customs valuation, duties, taxes, and related
import/export charges.
- Ensure smooth customs clearance and resolve issues related to
shipment delays,documentation errors, or regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and update import/export data internal systems.
- Support internal audits and compliance checks related to import/export activities.
Import Export Analyst
- Manage and execute import and export operations in compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading (B/L), air waybills (AWB),certificates of origin, and required licenses or permits.
- Classify goods using the appropriate Harmonized System (HS) codes and determine applicable duties, taxes, and trade requirements.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities with freight forwarders,
customs brokers, and government authorities.
- Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time delivery in accordance with business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, including import/export controls, sanctions, and restricted party screening.
- Analyze import/export costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Prepare compliance reports, trade data analysis, and KPI metrics for management review.
- Support internal and external audits related to import/export and trade compliance activities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in import/export operations, logistics, or shipping. Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and Incoterms. Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS classification, and Incoterms. Good command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of global trade compliance and customs brokerage processes. Classify goods using the appropriate Harmonized System (HS) codes Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Customs Documentation & Clearance. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
