We are seeking an experienced Fleet Repair and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the repair, servicing and preventive maintenance of our Harbour craft fleet. The successful candidatewill ensure vessels remain safe, reliable and ready for daily operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise preventive maintenance, repairs and servicing across the fleet.
  • Inspect vessels, assess reported defects and prioritize repairs to minimize operational downtime.
  • Trouble shoot marine engines, generators, propulsion systems, pumps, hydraulic systems and basic electrical equipment.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and provide hands-on technical support where required.
  • Coordinate with Captains, onboard crew and the Operations team on maintenance schedules and vessel availability.
  • Arrange and oversee contractors, shipyard repairs, dry-docking and equipment overhauls.
  • Monitor repair quality, progress and verify satisfactory completion before returning vessels to service.
  • Identify spare parts requirements, review quotations and coordinate procurement.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, defect reports, service schedules and spare parts inventories.
  • Support vessel surveys and inspections, ensuring relevant machinery and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Ensure maintenance work follows safe work procedures and proper handling of tools, equipment and waste materials.
  • Respond to urgent breakdowns and coordinate repairs to restore vessel operation promptly.

Job Requirement:

  • Diploma, NITEC or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineeringor a related discipline.
  • Preferably at least five years of relevant marine repair and maintenance experience, including experience supervising a team.
  • Strong practical knowledge of marine diesel engines, propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery.
  • Experience maintaining Harbour craft or similar vessels is preferred.
  • Able to diagnose faults, recommend practical solutions and supervise repair work effectively.
  • Able to read technical drawings, equipment manuals and spare parts specifications.
  • Good planning, communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to manage contractors, maintenance priorities and repair costs.
  • Comfortable using basic computer applications to maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Willing to work onboard vessels and at repair facilities attend urgent breakdowns outside normal working hours when required.
