Internship in Wireless Communication
Are you passionate about embedded software development and communication systems? Do you want to apply your theoretical knowledge in a high-tech, international company? Would you like to become a part of a cross functional development group consisting of experienced and committed colleagues?
Here is what the job entails
As an Intern in Wireless Communication, you will acquire a unique understanding of RF communication, where you will be involved in all aspects of Embedded Software Development. You will be involved in a development project where you work with technology clarification, analysis, simulation, and implementation.
More specifically, you will be working with:
Embedded software development based on our firmware development process
Low level embedded software development in C or C++ with an object-oriented mindset, as well as test scripts in Python
Communication protocols and protocol stacks
Optimized embedded Software design for low power consumption
Hardware-based programming and measurement, in an ARM Cortex-M3 based platform
Your final tasks will be adjusted to your competencies, but you will be working on real challenges that contribute to our development projects.
Meet your future team
You will become part of a tight-knit group consisting of skilled Engineers, Technicians, and PhDs with full focus on communication, that can offer valuable learnings and sparring. Our team of 10 skilled embedded software developers is characterized by an informal tone that promotes a work environment with mutual trust and freedom to act with responsibility. You will be on equal footing with the rest of the team, with your own tasks and responsibilities, which we will make sure you are well-equipped to handle.
Did you know? We do joint push-ups during the workday just for our own work happiness. But we are always open to new ideas for how to stay active and have fun together!
Less about us, more about you
We are looking for a self-driven engineering student with a can-do attitude. You want to contribute to the development of Kamstrup’s devices based on your solid theoretical knowledge, but you are also eager to learn new things and new ways of working.
In order to succeed we imagine that you:
Are studying a relevant bachelor’s degree within Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
Have strong skills within mathematics, communication theory, and software development, combined with a good understanding of electronics
Are looking for an internship where freedom under responsibility, as well as personal and professional development are of high importance
Have a curious, problem-solving mindset to analyze and solve problems using facts and theory
It is a requirement that you are fluent in English both written and spoken. Danish is not a requirement.
Whilst you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, this is an internship position, and we value curiosity and a willingness to learn just as much as experience. If the role interests you and you are motivated to grow, we encourage you to apply.
We offer more than just an internship
At Kamstrup, your contribution as an intern is highly valued, and we cherish the good colleagueship. Therefore, you will experience an internship with a strong focus on your individual development through challenging tasks, career sparring, voluntary courses, as well as social events and a large network. We are proud, that our internship program has resulted in Studenterhuset Aarhus granting us with the Mentor Award, the Internationalization Award, the Jury’s Special Award and the award for East Jutland’s Best Internship.
Besides the best program, we also offer:
The internship is paid if your place of study allows it
