Are you passionate about app development with integration for hardware? Do you want to become part of an experienced development team of full stack software engineers and make your mark on Kamstrup’s Field Tools? Are you ready for an exciting and educational internship in an international green-tech company?

Here is what the job entails

During your internship, you will be working with your team as well as the Product Managers in our Project Team. Together, you will be developing our application for the Windows, Android and iOS platforms. This includes communication with our meters through a serial or wireless connection.

We are developing our apps in Microsoft Visual Studio - .NET/C# from where you will be working with one or more of the following technologies during your internship:

.NET / C#

Cross-platform development in .NET MAUI

XAML

SQL / SQLite

MVVM design pattern

Build pipelines in GitLab

Bluetooth and wM-Bus communication

The specific contents of your tasks will be planned according to your wishes and your competencies and will depend on the features we will implement. Experience in the technologies we use is not a requirement; the most important thing is that you are eager to learn.

Meet your future team

As our Intern in .NET App Development, you will become a part of a software team in our Water business unit - Hardware department, consisting of five Software Developers with backgrounds such as Software Engineers and Physicists. The team develops meter configuration solutions and field tool applications for Windows, Android, and iOS. We are continuously working on improving and optimizing our field tools, so they become more user-friendly. By doing so, we ensure our position as a customer-preferred partner in the field.

Did you know? Only about half of our team drinks coffee — the rest run on pure code, energy drinks, or maybe just sheer willpower.

Less about us, more about you

We are looking for a motivated student who is ready to work with applications and whose commitment and theoretical knowledge can contribute to further development across platforms.

In order to succeed, we imagine that you:

Are studying Software Technology (IKT), Computer Science, or similar. Most importantly, you are passionate about developing applications

Have an analytical mindset and enjoy solving complex problems

Are proactive in seeking knowledge and value professional sparring

Can work independently while being a strong team player

Bring a critical sense that enables you to establish the best decision-making

As we are an international organisation it is important that you fluent in English both orally and written. Danish will be considered an advantage.

Whilst you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, this is an internship position, and we value curiosity and a willingness to learn just as much as experience. If the role interests you and you are motivated to grow, we encourage you to apply.

We offer more than just an internship

At Kamstrup, your contribution as an intern is highly valued, and we cherish the good colleagueship. Therefore, you will experience an internship with a strong focus on your individual development through challenging tasks, career sparring, voluntary courses, as well as social events and a large network. We are proud, that our internship program has resulted in Studenterhus Aarhus granting us with the Mentor Award, the Internationalization Award, the Jury’s Special Award and the award for East Jutland’s Best Internship.

Besides the best program, we also offer:

The internship is paid if your place of study allows it

Multiple internship events and weekly internship lunches

An active employee association, that fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace community
