Must-have:PythonC#

Are you passionate about digital signal processing and wireless communication? Do you want to become a part of a cross-disciplinary development group with dedicated and experienced colleagues? Would you like to leave your mark on future technology choices in Kamstrup within wireless communication?

Here is what the job entails

As our intern, you will become part of our technology projects, where we investigate and develop new intelligent radio systems. You will be involved in several phases of the projects with tasks ranging widely from concept development to analysis and simulation of performance to actual prototyping.

More specifically, you will be:

Working with digital signal processing (DSP)

Developing tools for testing new radio technologies and protocols

Preparing mathematical analyses and simulation using Python

Working with prototype implementation on radio development boards, possibly in C++, VHDL, MatLab, C#, etc.

Exploring Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and the GNU Radio framework.

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to work with different projects and in different areas depending on your interests and aspirations. Moreover, you will work with dedicated and experienced colleagues who will support your personal and professional development through close collaboration and continuous sparring.

Meet your future team

As our intern in Tech Lead, you will become part of our technology development team consisting of 6 dedicated employees. Here, you will participate on equal terms with your colleagues in a cross-disciplinary development group who are developing and shaping the wireless communication systems of the future for remote reading of utility meters. The department has a good working environment, where you will discover that both freedom with responsibility and personal development are in focus. The team has extensive experience with employing interns and has, over time, had more than 20 interns. Several of the former interns are still employed at Kamstrup.

Did you know? We are all interested in technology and go on team events where we have, among other things, had guided tours of the parking garage beneath Dokk1 in Aarhus, the robotic warehouse at Proshop, and the waste incineration plant in Lisbjerg.

Less about us, more about you

We are looking for an enthusiastic student who is eager to apply up-to-date theoretical knowledge and contribute to the development of wireless technologies at Kamstrup. During the internship, you will collaborate with the team on a variety of tasks and technical areas, including some you may not have encountered before in your studies. Therefore, a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn are important to us. Of course, we will support and guide you throughout the process.

In order to succeed, we imagine that you:

Are currently studying Electronics, Software Technology or a related degree

Have a professional interest in, particularly, electronics, mathematics, communication theory, and software development

Are thorough and structured and are excited by seeing your ideas become reality

Can work independently and possess a critical mindset with the aim of finding the best solution

Value collaboration and proactively seek professional sparring with your colleagues on your own initiative

As we are an international organisation it is important that you are fluent in English and Danish.

Whilst you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, this is an internship position, and we value curiosity and a willingness to learn just as much as experience. If the role interests you and you are motivated to grow, we encourage you to apply.

We offer more than just an internship

At Kamstrup, your contribution as an intern is highly valued, and we cherish the good colleagueship. Therefore, you will experience an internship with a strong focus on your individual development through challenging tasks, career sparring, voluntary courses, as well as social events and a large network. We are proud, that our internship program has resulted in Studenterhuset Aarhus granting us with the Mentor Award, the Internationalization Award, the Jury’s Special Award and the award for East Jutland’s Best Internship.

Besides the best program, we also offer:

The internship is paid if your place of study allows it

Multiple internship events and weekly internship lunches

Employee benefits including a healthy canteen, fitness facilities, in-house dental clinic, hairdresser, and a free health clinic

An active employee association, that fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace community

Do you want to be a part of Kamstrup?

The applications are reviewed on a continuous basis, but you can expect a response within six weeks. Any details about the internship will be individually agreed upon. However, the internship is expected to run from the beginning of February 2027 until the end of June 2027.
