Senior TVS Engineer

Your tasks

• Review TVS calculations, fan selection and jet fan/plenum arrangements issued by Jacobs • Check smoke control and emergency ventilation scenario modelling against NFPA 130 requirements • Prepare draft responses to Construction's TVS-related Technical Queries for the Lead's approval • Support coordination of TVS shafts, plant rooms and ductwork with structural and tunnel design • Track outstanding TVS review comments and follow up with Jacobs through the HVAC Lead • Assist in commissioning and testing documentation review for tunnel ventilation systems • Maintain accurate TVS review records and design change logs

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; Master's degree preferred. -ASHRAE or NFPA 130 training is an advantage. -Minimum 8-10 years' mechanical/ventilation engineering experience with exposure to tunnel or underground ventilation systems; experience on a High-Speed Rail or Metro project of similar scale is preferred. -Tunnel ventilation system principles, NFPA 130 awareness, fan/duct sizing review, AutoCAD MEP. -Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage. -Able to write clear, technically precise correspondence, technical queries (TQs) and review comments, and to present findings confidently to Etihad Rail and internal Construction teams.
