The Challenge

As part of strengthening its teams in Valence, a medical device player is looking for an operational manager to support its engineering and validation activities around orthopedic products.

You will intervene in a regulated industrial environment, working on industrialization, process validation, and continuous improvement activities, with a central role in prioritizing subjects and supporting teams.

What you will concretely do

  • Lead the activity of two teams composed of engineers and technicians
  • Monitor workload, prioritize subjects, and ensure reporting of issues
  • Supervise industrialization projects for new equipment, processes, and products
  • Coordinate production transfers and process evolutions
  • Lead validation and engineering activities
  • Supervise the design and updating of manufacturing ranges and procedures
  • Support the processing of non-conformities, deviations, CAPA, and Change Control
  • Lead process risk analyses and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Guarantee proper management of the department's data and documentation
  • Act as an operational relay to the teams and make necessary decisions regarding prioritization and performance
  • Support teams with pedagogy and leadership, in a context of temporary reinforcement and then organizational development

Profile sought:

Who you are

  • Engineering degree or Master's degree (Bac+5) in technical / process
  • Experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals is indispensable
  • Knowledge of regulated environments: ISO 13485, 21 CFR, BPF
  • Operational experience in industrialization, process validation, and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of Lean tools: Kaizen, SMED, 5S, DMAIC
  • Leadership, ability to prioritize, and ability to make decisions
  • Operational profile, capable of supporting teams on the ground
  • Initial managerial experience is appreciated, but the position is primarily oriented towards operational management
