Military Police Operational Service
Job duties: If you feel that your calling is to be a military policeman and work with a service dog, you are expected to apply! At the beginning of your service, you will work alongside an experienced dog handler to get settled into the role, learn the specifics of a dog handler's work, and gradually prepare to work with a service dog. You will participate in specialized training and courses across Estonia and be ready to respond to incidents in different regions according to operational needs. With suitability, dedication, and development, you will have the opportunity to grow into a dog handler, participate in various missions in the future, and move forward towards the dog handler role. As a dog handler, you will respond to incidents together with a service dog and help maintain security in situations where attentiveness, cooperation, and rapid action are key. In addition to regular work, you will care for the daily well-being and readiness of the service dog and continuously develop your skills. Other requirements: WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: Completed military service or conscript status and readiness to acquire/supplement military specialized training—read more in the following section; At least two years of B-category driving license and readiness to undergo alarm vehicle driver training; English language skills at a communication level; Understanding that working with a service dog means long-term commitment and lifestyle requirements—the dog is with you also outside of service time; Balance, perseverance, and strong self-discipline; Ability to pass the defense forces physical fitness test; Suitability for applying for and being granted access to state secrets. DIFFERENT WAYS TO JOIN US: -If military service is completed, but you hold the rank of private—we expect you to be ready to supplement your military specialized training (completing the junior officer course and the junior officer intermediate course within two years); -With the rank of junior sergeant, we expect you to be ready to complete the junior officer intermediate course within two years; -Applying based on conscript status and without military specialized training/military service, we expect you to be ready to complete the soldier basic course, the junior officer course, and the junior officer intermediate course at the earliest opportunity. Service salary: €2400 (gross) with military specialized training for non-commissioned officers at level A2; €2200 (gross) until completion of military specialized training for non-commissioned officers at level A2.
