Job Purpose

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets. Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained. Allocate work to production staff and monitor their performance. Ensure machines and equipment are operated safely and efficiently. Monitor the availability and proper use of raw materials to minimize waste. Ensure production schedules are adhered to, and customer orders are completed on time. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality procedures. Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime. Train, coach, and motivate production staff to improve performance and productivity. Prepare daily production reports, including output, downtime, quality issues, and material usage. Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs. Work closely with the Quality Control, Warehouse, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure smooth production processes.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role is an added advantage. Experience in plastic manufacturing or a similar production environment is preferred.
