Accounting Controller

About the team The Accounting Controllers team is responsible for the full compliance and accuracy of country financial reports, ensuring data transparency and timely response to situations that pose financial or operational risks to the company.
You will be responsible for: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for assigned units, in accordance with applicable accounting standards, IFRS principles, and internal group guidelines. Preparing data for financial reporting, performing daily accounting entries, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting records. Managing month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and verifying account reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and other closing-related activities, and managing the fixed assets register. Analyzing financial results in comparison with budget, forecasts, and historical data, identifying variances, and supporting the explanation and resolution of significant deviations. Assisting in the preparation of consolidation packages, statutory reports, and other financial information required for group and local reporting purposes. Ensuring the correct accounting treatment of transactions and verifying financial data in accordance with IFRS, local accounting requirements, and corporate accounting policies. Monitoring and overseeing payments, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness, preventing duplicates, and resolving errors or delays in cooperation with accounting and finance teams. Possessing specialized knowledge in corporate finance and accounting procedures, monitoring changes in policies, and ensuring their correct implementation. Close cooperation with external auditors during year-end closings, statutory audits, and other auditing activities. Cooperation with local and international accounting and finance teams, as well as other business functions, proactively responding to business and organizational changes. Identifying opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes and implementing new solutions, automation, and IT tools, including Excel and ERP systems. Active participation in standardization, process efficiency, and continuous improvement within the finance department. We expect: Higher education in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Several years of professional experience in accounting, financial accounting, financial reporting, or a similar position in a finance department. Good knowledge of accounting principles and practical experience in month-end and year-end closing processes. Good knowledge of IFRS and experience in applying accounting principles in a corporate environment. Experience in financial analysis, including variance analysis, accruals, provisions, and budget vs. actual analysis. Practical knowledge of VAT and CIT processes and financial reporting requirements. Experience in cooperating with external auditors and internal financial stakeholders. High analytical and problem-solving skills, with an organized and detail-oriented approach to work. Ability to take responsibility for processes, identify problems, and proactively drive their resolution. Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience using SAP ERP and finance automation tools. Experience in preparing or handling consolidation packages and statutory reporting will be an additional asset. Very good command of English, both spoken and written. Ability to work effectively in an international environment and cooperate with stakeholders from various positions and countries.
