Project Controller for international technical operations

The role as Project Controller

As a Project Controller, you support projects and the business from a financial perspective. You work closely with project managers and managers with analyses, follow-up, and decision support, and hold a central role in the budget, forecast, and reporting processes. Through a proactive approach, you identify risks, opportunities, and changes that affect the business.

Examples of tasks

Be financial support to project managers and the business.

Responsible for budgeting, forecasts, and financial planning.

Perform monthly reporting and financial follow-up.

Follow up on project finances and analyze results, deviations, and profitability.

Identify, analyze, and communicate risks, challenges, and opportunities.

Prepare decision support and financial analyses.

Contribute to increased cost awareness and financial understanding within the business.

Work with improvements of processes, follow-up, and financial management.

Provide early warning signals regarding changes that may affect projects or the business.

Travel within Sweden and internationally may occur.

Your background, experience, and competence

We are looking for you with an academic degree in economics, finance, or accounting and a genuine interest in business-oriented financial management. You are analytical, business-oriented, and thrive in a role where you combine financial follow-up with advisory and collaboration.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

An academic degree in economics, finance, or accounting.

Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and financial follow-up.

Very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

A good ability to communicate financial relationships in a clear and pedagogical way.

Fluent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

A structured, proactive, and business-like way of working.

It is meritorious if you have experience in:

Project controlling, business controlling, or similar roles.

Budget, forecast, and reporting processes.

Project-oriented businesses.

International organizations.

ERP systems such as Agresso.

As a person, you are curious, driven, and solution-oriented. You build trusting relationships, take initiative, and are confident in challenging the business with insights and recommendations that contribute to better business decisions.
