Your tasks

We are looking for a proactive Integration Engineer to make manufacturing shopfloors AI ready. You own the connectivity between production equipment, shopfloor systems and our platform, making sure the data we need is unlocked, captured reliably and delivered to our applications. You are the bridge between our customers' production and IT teams, machine builders, system suppliers and our engineering team, and you lead the projects needed to make data available. With every project, you turn a solved connectivity case into a reusable standard.

  • Assess customer machines and systems, both modern and legacy equipment, to find out what data is available, what needs to be upgraded, and how to get it.
  • Coordinate the projects that make the data available, machine and system upgrades with suppliers, network and security setup with our IT and the customer's IT, and the deployment of our gateway on site, until the data is flowing reliably.
  • Apply secure configuration and access practices when deploying gateways and connecting to customer networks, including the protection of access credentials.
  • Document network access and security settings for each integration in a protected manner and include security requirements in standard procedures.
  • Provide hands-on support to troubleshoot connectivity, data extraction and configuration issues in collaboration with customer teams.
  • Continuously improve how we integrate: document each connection, build standard procedures and templates, and make every new deployment faster and easier than the last.
  • Stay up to date with developments in industrial connectivity and edge technology, evaluate what could improve our integrations, and recommend what we should adopt.

Requirements

  • Degree in automation, electrical, mechatronics or related field, with 2 to 5 years in manufacturing, machine building or system integration. Certifications in networking, IoT or industrial security are a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP and MQTT, and of common controller platforms such as Siemens, Beckhoff and Rockwell.
  • Awareness of information security in industrial environments, in particular the secure transfer of data and the confidentiality and integrity of customer data.
  • Experience connecting industrial equipment and shopfloor systems, including legacy machines, and a good understanding of production data such as OEE, downtime and scrap.
  • Good understanding of industrial networks and security, able to define the requirements for our edge hardware and coordinate network access and security setup with internal and customer IT teams.
  • Proven ability to manage external suppliers and integration projects, from scope definition to acceptance, and to turn technical documentation into clear integration requirements.
  • Structured, hands-on problem solver, at ease with operators, IT managers and engineers alike. Fluent German and English, willing to travel.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity standards is a plus.

What we offer

  • A permanent full-time contract in a sustainable, innovative, and future-oriented company
  • A careful onboarding plan, supported by manager and cross functional colleagues
  • Diverse, interesting and challenging tasks, opportunities for further development
  • Room to contribute with own ideas and space for creativity to achieve your goal.
  • 30 vacation days per year, flexible time, home office
  • Sports allowance, pension contribution, company bike,...
