1210 Student Care Officer / Bedok Reservoir

Contract Period: From 1 January 2027 to 31 October 2027.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
• One weekday may require work until 5:30pm for after-school activities
• June School Holidays: Selected working days only, paid based on days worked
• No work on weekends, public holidays, November and December
• Working hours may vary depending on the school’s requirements

Requirements:

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology or related fields are preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working with or supporting youths, preferably in a school, social service or community setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to engage, befriend and mentor youths, especially those facing emotional, social or well-being challenges.
• Caring, empathetic and emotionally resilient, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.

Job Scopes：

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Engage, befriend and mentor students who require emotional, social or well-being support.
• Plan and conduct activities at the Student Engagement Centre.
• Support and facilitate after-school engagement activities.
• Monitor students’ progress and maintain proper records.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and well-being, together with the school team.
• Coordinate with community partners for suitable student programmes.
• Follow school procedures on student safety, confidentiality and data protection.
• Perform other student-related or school duties as assigned.
