Motion Graphics Designer Volunteer

Responsibilities:

1. Create motion graphics for YouTube videos that explain technology, science, engineering, history, and other complex topics in a simple visual way.

1. Edit explainer videos in formats such as “Egypt Explained in 5 Minutes” or “AI Explained in 3 Minutes,” keeping the pacing engaging and easy to follow.

1. Animate illustrations, icons, maps, diagrams, and text to visually support the narration and make information easier to understand.

1. Turn scripts into visual stories by planning how each sentence or idea should appear on screen through animation, transitions, and visual elements.

1. Create engaging intros and visual hooks that capture attention within the first few seconds of each video.

1. Maintain strong visual storytelling by using camera movements, zooms, transitions, and animations without making the video feel unnecessarily complicated.

1. Work with the content and creative team to understand scripts, references, storyboards, and the intended message before starting production.

1. Maintain consistent visual quality and style across JOS YouTube videos, including typography, animation principles, layouts, and branding.

1. Revise and improve animations based on feedback while meeting agreed deadlines and maintaining organized project files.

1. Continuously experiment with new motion-graphics techniques to make JOS educational and technology videos more visually engaging and memorable.
