Management of the Design Office

• Supervise, lead, and challenge the design office under your responsibility (industrial draftsman and calculation engineer) in a logic of performance and continuous improvement, quality, and respect for strategic orientations
• Manage projects in connection with clients and participate in the development of specifications
• Drive the execution of studies according to client requirements
• Control calculation notes and plans produced by the design offices
• Develop cost prices in connection with the sales department

Technical Coordination

• Provide technical support to production teams
• Manage transverse subjects between the design office, the workshop, and the sales department
• Drive and monitor the procurement of raw materials
• Organize destructive and non-destructive testing
• Manage control files carried out by external organizations
• Challenge existing practices and optimize internal processes
• Represent the company during client meetings / trade fairs with the Sales Department

Quality System & Continuous Improvement

• Be the guarantor of the Design Office documentation
• Identify and report any non-conformity and drive its resolution
• Participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Participate in management reviews and weekly production meetings with the Operational Management
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement
• Ensure the quality of work, compliance with instructions, and the application of standards and rules (ISO 9001 and in the future ISO 14001 and 45001)

Performance Management and Reporting

• Unify teams around company objectives and instill a positive dynamic
• Plan the department's activity and ensure compliance with workload schedules based on business affairs
• Develop, monitor, and analyze performance indicators (KPI, dashboards)
• Ensure regular reporting to management on project progress
• Maintain close relationships with general management and all other functions

• Ensure competitive and technical intelligence
• Provide a transverse vision between operations and the commercial side

• Participate in client meetings

Profile sought:

• Confirmed experience in design office management
• Excellent mastery of industrial environments in the field of mechanos welding and technical projects
• Knowledge of design office functioning and GPAO tools
• Reading of plans, diagrams, and technical documents
• Assertive leadership, ability to unify, challenge, and evolve teams
• Solid skills in performance management and data analysis
• Professional English
• Structured mindset, ability to anticipate and make decisions
