About the Position: The Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Validation Test and Assessment Analyst, GS-0301-13, serves in the Headquarters United States European Command (HQ EUCOM) ECJ3, Integrated Air and Missile Defense Division, Integration Validation and Test (IVT) Branch. Incumbent will lead, plan, manage, and execute validations, exercises, tests, and assessment functions in the integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) operations area within EUCOM's area of responsibility (AOR).

Major duties

  • Develop IAMD joint training, exercise, readiness assessment plans and resourcing programs in order to support execution of mission requirements using the joint military decision-making process (JMDMP).
  • Serve as the point of contact on matters pertaining to integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) resourcing, exercise, assessment, plans, and tests in regard to development, integration, and execution of US and allied IAMD systems.
  • Serve as lead in developing the USEUCOM IAMD validations tests, exercises, and assessment program.
  • Support operational readiness of the IAMD components based on commanders’ guidance and established criteria per HQ USEUCOM joint mission essential task list (JMETL).
  • Coordinate with combatant commands, components, and the missile defense agency (MDA).
  • Provide current operational assessment support through EUCOM J5/8 and J7 to joint staff, OSW and JIAMDO architectures and operational assessment processes.
  • Provide current operational assessment support through EUCOM J5/8 to the command planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) cycle.
  • Plan, develop, and oversee the formulation of assessment plans that will enhance HQ USEUCOM IAMD systems readiness.
  • Synchronize EUCOM IAMD plans for deriving assessments from exercises and common test and training operations (CTTO) program, MDA flight test training opportunities and other MDA initiatives within the HQ USEUCOM AOR.
  • Formulate staff assessments and resource plans, and make recommendations in response to DoW, OSW, joint staff, HQ USEUCOM.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
