Virtualisation Engineer (Ref 26560)

Responsibilities

• Provide support for virtualised environments (MS Azure / Citrix)
• Setup and maintenance of Azure /Citrix infrastructure
• Continuous service and stability improvements
• Hardware support for virtualisation infrastructure in collaboration with the Data Center team
• Accountability for monitoring and patching of infrastructure
• Automation of tasks using e.g., PowerShell
• Participation in technical team sync calls
• Architectural changes on Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop on all landscapes
• Packaging and deployment of software using PowerShell / Chef for all landscapes
• Participation in internal meetings, Windows Terminal Service, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Demo and Education Cloud

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of experience in managing enterprise virtualisation platforms and supporting large-scale virtualised infrastructure environments.
• Strong IT infrastructure knowledge (Server hardware, network, patching, authentication, policies, Windows operating systems)
• Experience in 2nd / 3rd level support of virtual workplace environments
• Ability to think independently and find solutions to complex issues from different sources
• Good knowledge in MS Azure, PowerShell, Ansible, Citrix
