VP, Product Strategy & Operations
Accountabilities Lead market analysis, competitive intelligence, market sizing, and segmentation initiatives that inform roadmap prioritization and broader portfolio strategy.
Establish repeatable frameworks for monitoring market dynamics, buyer needs, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities.
Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for product leaders and executives rather than producing analysis without clear business application.
Own the end-to-end product launch framework, including readiness criteria, cross-functional launch plans, tiering models, success metrics, and post-launch retrospectives.
Partner with Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to ensure releases have clear commercial, adoption, and customer-impact plans.
Build and lead a program management function responsible for predictable execution across complex, cross-functional product initiatives.
Provide portfolio-level visibility into roadmap execution, dependencies, risks, escalations, and progress through effective reporting and operating rhythms.
Establish durable planning cycles, status reporting practices, escalation paths, and other operating mechanisms appropriate for a growing product organization.
Oversee product documentation, release notes, internal resources, and customer-facing knowledge materials, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and consistency.
Develop scalable documentation processes that support enterprise and technical audiences while reducing support demands and improving customer self-service.
Recruit, develop, and lead specialists across market analysis, launch management, program management, and documentation.
Define career paths, operating standards, and organizational practices for disciplines that are being built and formalized.
Serve as a strategic and operational partner to the CPO, translating executive priorities into coordinated execution across the Product organization.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in product strategy, product operations, program management, or a related discipline.
3–5+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
Demonstrated success building or significantly maturing a product operations, strategy, or program management function within a scaling or transforming organization.
Strong knowledge of market analysis and competitive intelligence methodologies, with the ability to turn ambiguous market signals into clear strategic recommendations.
Proven experience managing high-stakes product launches with measurable commercial or customer outcomes.
Strong program management capabilities, including experience overseeing portfolios of interconnected initiatives rather than individual projects.
Familiarity with tools, frameworks, and operating practices used to track cross-functional product execution, dependencies, risks, and milestones.
Experience overseeing or closely partnering with technical documentation teams, with an understanding of effective documentation for enterprise and technical audiences.
Excellent executive communication skills and the ability to present recommendations and operational insights to C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
Comfortable creating structure, processes, and operating models within organizations where product management maturity is still developing.
Strong strategic thinking, organizational leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to operate effectively across product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and other business functions.
Experience in enterprise software, legal technology, eDiscovery, or another complex B2B or enterprise environment is a plus.
