Vice President, Sales (Cybersecurity)
Accountabilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans designed to achieve revenue, growth, and market expansion objectives across the U.S. cybersecurity market.
Analyze cybersecurity market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to identify areas for growth and potential risks.
Partner with senior sales leadership to establish targets, define go-to-market strategies, and develop plans to consistently achieve or exceed objectives.
Lead, manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing cybersecurity sales organization focused on sustainable revenue growth.
Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and retain strong cybersecurity sales professionals while establishing clear performance expectations.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, feedback, and development plans to improve individual and team performance.
Oversee territory strategy, pipeline development, sales forecasting, opportunity management, and the day-to-day execution of the sales organization.
Monitor sales performance metrics and use data-driven insights to identify performance gaps, improve forecasting accuracy, and optimize sales effectiveness.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, executives, partners, and other stakeholders throughout the sales lifecycle.
Serve as an executive point of contact for important customers, addressing complex concerns and ensuring a consistently high level of client satisfaction and retention.
Develop and manage the sales budget for the assigned market, monitoring expenses and ensuring commercially sound and profitable operations.
Deliver executive briefings, innovation forums, and billable cybersecurity services such as tabletop incident response reviews, ransomware runbook assessments, and PCI gap analyses.
Provide senior leadership with regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline, forecasts, budgets, market conditions, and strategic opportunities.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, customer service, and other internal teams to align commercial initiatives and strengthen customer outcomes.
Communicate sales strategy, performance expectations, market intelligence, and business priorities effectively across executive and sales audiences.
Foster a high-performance, accountable, collaborative, and results-oriented culture across the cybersecurity sales organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
7–9 years of progressive sales and sales leadership experience, ideally within cybersecurity or technology services.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity professional services and the ability to communicate their business value to sophisticated customers.
Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, building strong pipelines, and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
Proven experience developing and executing complex sales strategies across new and existing markets.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities, including experience recruiting, coaching, developing, and motivating sales professionals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging senior executives and key stakeholders.
Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret sales performance data, market trends, forecasts, and competitive intelligence.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships and effectively resolve complex customer concerns.
Strong commercial judgment and the ability to balance revenue growth, client satisfaction, pipeline health, and profitability.
Experience creating a high-performance, results-driven sales culture with clear accountability and measurable outcomes.
Ability to travel as needed to support customers, sales activities, leadership engagements, and industry events.
